Roska to release new EP on Hotflush in May
Roska’s debut release on Scuba’s mighty Hotflush imprint, sees the UK Funky head honcho explore new sonic territories. The first track on the 12” is called ‘Error Code’ and while keeping in line with Roska’s broken percussive aesthetic, it seems to dive into deeper territories with the introduction of an arpeggiated synth line that adds a spacey dramatic effect to the piece. On the flip ‘Abrupt’ is a bass heavy rhythm track that finely blends chopped up vocals with Garage, Electro and Grime and has a distinct Jamaican after taste.
We dropped ‘Error Code’ on the radio show on Sunday and messages started flying in!
