First up apologies for the quietness on the blog front over the last few weeks; it’s been a bit of a busy period and we let it slide, but it won’t happen again!
Now onto business, last week saw the Cloud City X party and simul. broadcast down at the 9,84 amphitheatre finally come to fruition after weeks of pulling all the pieces into place - and it went off with a bang, from the in-your-face opening set by local selector, the one they call Petit Bear to Lone’s all out killer live, to Pariah smashing it behind the decks to close the night, all ably enhanced by our Master of Ceremonies for the evening, MC Dash! As well as all the local crowd that turned out on the night, the entire event was broadcast live via the 104.4FM webplayer and video streamed on U Stream and throughtout the night the feedback from all mediums was incredible! Cloud City is now having summer off but hold tight for more of Phase II once September hits!
Saturday and Sunday also saw us broadcasting our regular live shows jam packed with lots of recent favourites from the likes of Random Axe, Jehst, Dauwd, Kastle, Jamie XX and a few classics to boot, plus on the Sunday we were blessed with not one, but two guest mixes! First up the lovely Get Some boys joined us all the way from London for a live mix in the studio which saw the energy levels soaring, then next up Liverpool’s ReSketch provided us with a carefully put together 30 minute mini mix - you can find links to both crews down below in the playlists if you want to find out more and stay close for more music and mixes from these talented kids!
